You may use your Costa Gift Card to purchase eligible items at any participating Costa Coffee store outlets in England, Wales and Scotland.
1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions apply to use of all Costa Coffee Gift Cards. In these Terms and Conditions: "Costa" "we" or "us" refers to Costa Limited a company incorporated in England with company number 01270695 whose registered office is at Costa Limited, Costa House, 6 Porz Avenue, Houghton Hall Business Park, Houghton Regis, Dunstable, Beds, LU5 5YG . "you" refers to the purchaser and/or user of the Costa Coffee Gift Card. Purchase and/or use of a Costa Coffee Gift Card will constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using your Costa Coffee Gift Card. If there is anything you do not understand, please contact us using the contact details in paragraph 12. We recommend that you keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions for future reference. These Terms and Conditions are only available in English. Costa Coffee Gift Cards remain the property of Costa Limited.
2. Using your Costa Coffee Gift Card You may use your Costa Coffee Gift Card to purchase eligible items at any participating Costa Coffee stores in the UK excluding Northern Ireland. Costa Coffee Gift Cards are not able to be redeemed in any Costa Express or Proud to Serve outlet. When you use your Costa Coffee Gift Card the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance on the card. The remaining balance may be applied to future purchases. Change will not be given. If your purchase exceeds the balance on the Costa Coffee Gift Card you must pay the excess by another payment method. You may check the balance on your Costa Coffee Gift Card at any participating Costa Coffee store or on the Site. You may not top up the balance on your Costa Coffee Gift Card however you may transfer any outstanding balance to a new Costa Coffee Gift Card at any participating Costa store or by contacting Customer Services at [email protected]. Costa Coffee Gift Card balances cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers or additional gift cards. You may not exchange or redeem your Costa Coffee Gift Card for cash. No change or refunds will be given where the sales transaction is for an amount less than the balance on the Costa Coffee Gift Card. We reserve the right to refuse to accept damaged Costa Coffee Gift Cards or any Costa Coffee Gift Card which we believe has been stolen, duplicated, tampered with or is being used fraudulently or is otherwise suspected to be affected by fraud. One or more Costa Coffee Gift Cards can be redeemed against a single order but no more than five. The maximum value of Costa Coffee Gift Cards that can be uploaded at any one time is £75.
3. Expiration and Cancellation Your Costa Coffee Gift Card and the balance on it will expire if the card is not used to make a purchase for 12 consecutive months. We reserve the right to cancel your Costa Coffee Gift Card if we suspect it has been stolen, is being used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Loss, Theft, Damage You should take care of your Costa Coffee Gift Card and treat it like cash. Costa is not responsible for lost or stolen cards. You should immediately report any loss, theft, fraudulent or unauthorised use of your Costa Coffee Gift Card to Customer Services at [email protected] If you lose your Costa Coffee Gift Card or it is stolen or damaged we may, at our sole discretion, issue a replacement Costa Coffee Gift Card credited with the unused balance from your lost/stolen/damaged card. We will require your Costa Coffee Gift Card number and proof of purchase before we can consider any request to replace your Costa Coffee Gift Card. If you subsequently find or retrieve a Costa Coffee Gift Card which you have reported lost or stolen, you must notify Customer Services immediately.
5. Costa Coffee Club Purchases made with Costa Coffee Gift Cards in participating Costa stores will be eligible to earn Costa Coffee Club points if you are a registered Coffee Club member. Please ensure your Costa Coffee Club card is swiped or that you scan your Coffee Club mobile app in the usual way when you make your purchase. You cannot use Costa Coffee Club points to purchase Costa Coffee Gift Cards. You cannot earn Costa Coffee Card points when you purchase a Costa Coffee Gift Card. 6. Resale/Use in Promotions You may only use your Costa Coffee Gift Card for your personal non-commercial use. You may not sell your Costa Coffee Gift Card. Costa Coffee Gift Cards may not be used in sales or promotional activities including as giveaways or prizes in competitions without the prior consent of Costa. Costa reserves the right to cancel any Costa Coffee Gift Card that it suspects has been resold or obtained in connection with an unauthorised sales or promotional activity.
7. Data Protection and Privacy You may be asked to provide certain personal information, including your name, address and contact details. You agree that the information you provide to us will be true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. You also agree to notify us of any changes in this information. We are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. All personal information you provide to us will be used in accordance with our Privacy policy.
8. Liability of Costa Costa shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with your use of a Costa Coffee Gift Card where such loss or damage arises from any cause beyond our reasonable control. If we fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions for a reason within our reasonable control, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into these Terms and Conditions. Where any loss or damage arises from a cause within our control, our liability to you shall not exceed a sum equal to the balance on your Costa Coffee Gift Card as at the date that such loss or damage occurs. This clause shall not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
9. Termination / Variation We reserve the right to amend or waive any provision of these Terms and Conditions from time to time or to terminate the Costa Coffee Gift Card service on reasonable notice. The Terms and Conditions applicable to the use of a Costa Coffee Gift Card shall at any time be the terms and conditions published on the Site and/or www.costa.co.uk and your continued use of a Costa Coffee Gift Card shall constitute your acceptance of such terms and conditions.
10. General These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement and understanding between us and you with respect to your use of the Costa Coffee Gift Cards. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions are unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. Any failure or delay by us in enforcing (in whole or in part) any provision of these Terms and Conditions will not be interpreted as a waiver of our rights or remedies. We may transfer the benefit of these Terms and Conditions to any other company in the same group of companies as Costa. If we assign the benefit of these Terms and Conditions, your rights will not be affected. Costa reserves the right to add to or waive these Terms and Conditions on reasonable notice for legal, security or regulatory reasons or to discontinue the Costa Coffee Gift Card scheme at any time in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Customers will be notified in advance via in-store displays in the event of any such change.
11. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. These Terms and Conditions are only available in English. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If you live in Scotland you will also benefit from any mandatory provisions of Scottish law and can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Prize Draw and these terms and conditions in either the Scottish or the English courts.

How it works

- Send the gift card instantly or schedule it in the future (eGift only)
- We’ll deliver the card to the recipient’s address or email (depending on card type)
- They’re then free to use your chosen retailer's gift card (restrictions and terms apply)
Buying gift cards from Asda
- All eGift cards will be delivered straight to your recipient's email inbox unless you opt to schedule it for a specific date
- Once your payment has been authorised, we’ll usually process your gift cards within a few minutes
- If scheduled for a specific date, the eGift card will arrive a few minutes after midnight
- As the purchaser of the gift card, you will receive an order confirmation email
- Before making a purchase, you will be required to accept our terms and conditions
Exclusions and expiry dates
- Each retailer's gift cards are subject to their own terms, conditions and exclusions
- A gift card’s expiry date is set by the retailer. Asda gift cards are valid for a period of two years from your last transaction. For other retailers, please check their individual terms and conditions
