Asda Student Parent Shopper Card

Yes! It’s very important you register your card on our website! If your Asda gift card is lost, faulty or stolen and your card is not registered, we will be unable to replace your card and the funds will have been lost. If your card is registered, you have the option to report your card as lost, faulty or stolen, check your balance and look at your transaction history.

When you pick up a Student Parent card in store, or order one online, you’ll get two cards - one for you and one for your child. They’re both linked to the same account, so you can keep it easily topped up, and they can easily use it. You’ll have to put some funds on there first. This can be done at any Asda checkout, or via your online account. You could do this as a one-off gift, or as a regularly occurring top-up to be used every month. The student in your family can then spend the balance on the card at one of our supermarkets or online.

It’s really simple to add extra money to the card. Online Make sure you’re registered and have added the card to your account. Once you’ve logged in you’ll see a ‘top-up’ button next to your card. Just follow the instructions on screen to add funds. You can do a one-off top up or set up a regular payment - the choice is yours. In-store You can top-up your card in store at any checkout (including Self-Scan and Scan & Go) or at a Customer Service Desk. You’ll need to have your version of the card with you.

The Student Parent card can be used in-store and online across a range of departments including: Groceries, George Clothing and Homeware. Be it a can of baked beans, ready meal or a family pack of toilet roll, the Student Parent card can be used for everything they’ll need for student life - maybe just don’t mention it works on alcohol too!    

As long as you’ve registered your card online, you’re covered! If you’ve lost your card or know that it’s been stolen, simply login into your account to cancel it. Once you’ve done this, the card will be locked and unusable. Both of your Parent/Student cards are linked to one account, so if you happened to lose one we would unfortunately need to disable both of them. We’ll send you a replacement card with any remaining balance you had at the time of cancelling the card. Please note, we can only send the replacement cards to a single nominated address. Make sure to register your new card once it arrives in the post – we can’t replace cards which are not associated with your online account.

You can use our online balance checker, just simply enter the card number and pin. Alternatively, you can save it to your account where you can check the balance of all your saved cards.
